Kew Bridge Site :Important Planning Meeting tonight

A top Planning Meeting is being held at the Civic Centre tonight...at 7.30pm ..see the Hounslow Website.There is a very important presentation to do with the developement at KEW BRIDGEMaybe you already know about it.Members of the Community...and interest groups.. who are interested in the fate of this site ought to go along and lend their support...to the protesters. Don't let the developers get their way!!Councillors on the Committee must be up to their eyeballs studying the papers ...so pop along! (I only learned of this tonight at a Brentford Forum meet up..and was surprised to find no referrence to it on the Forum.

Steve, from the home page click on “meetings & agendas”, then click on “meetings”. On the panel listings of “committees”, click on Number 5 to bring up the “Sustainable Development Committee”, click on that, which will bring up various dates. Clicking on today’s date (22nd) will bring up the Agenda for tonight, and the Kew Bridge site is Agenda Item 17, assuring the committee quite incorrectly, that everyone’s had the chance to see and comment on the latest revision of the scheme.Alternatively, see if this will link directly > http://213.210.33.3/ieListDocuments.asp?CommitteeId=212&CF=Sustainable+Development+Committee&MeetingId=2144&DF=22/03/2005&Ver=4No one had a chance to see the new report before Friday evening!

The Kew Bridge item was rushed in to tonight's meeting in response to councillors who couldn't make the later, special meeting called for the purpose. It's been an undignified rush to get the new report out, which Area Committee members have not had the chance to comment on. Based on a single weekend's perusal, the SDC are now expected to vote on this!The more members of the public that turn up tonight, the more the SDC will realise the depth of feeling over this proposed monstrosity.
