Brentford a developers 'Opportunity Area'

Are they serious about this never ending drive to develop every single square inch of Brentford with hi-rise, high density and inappropriate buildings, in so doing erasing every ounce of character and identity from our historic county town? And are they serious at fast-tracking development after development in rapid succession to overwhelm public opinion and batter their way through?I’ve been looking into why Brentford is being so relentlessly targeted by the local council, and as is often the way with these things, I’ve come up with one name, and a linked-in profile:https://www.linkedin.com/in/brendon-walsh-a8880a5Joined Hounslow council in 2012 after 7 years in Ealing building some remarkably ugly tower blocks. Give him 7 years in Hounslow and Brentford will be as soulless as Uxbridge Rd in Ealing.

gets paid a lot though. Using the politicians tactic of wrapping up a few years into a nice large number I estimate about a million. Good opportunity for the local council to make one of those difficult decisions about cutting costs.

Someone who has very questionable links with developers and financiers and yet seems as slippery as several others within LBH.

They can't be serious! Anyone who lives near Busch corner or in Isleworth would know what a recent closure of a small road has done to the rest of the area - Twickenham road is a giant car park nowadays. It already operates above capacity and emergency services are struggling to get through the traffic. The Victorian road infrastructure in the area is not able to support  the current levels of traffic, let alone thousands of new developments and jobs. Although there are plans for new train stations, I did not see anything about improving commuter links or public transport for those commuting to and from Isleworth / Twickenham / Richmond area.
