Bus Route 235... Again

Yet again the 235 is not serving Ealing Road until further notice due to so called problems with the bus barrier at GWQ.  Do we now have another nine month wait for repairs to be carried out I wonder.

They should remove the bollard and install an electric raising barrier that can be manually operated if there are any problems with the electrics

It's not "so-called problems" - some divot must've driven into the pop-up pole, as it was bent sideways and the bricks around its base had shifted. The real question for me is why this idiot management company is being allowed to carry on using such an utterly stupid and easily-damaged design of barrier.

Guy, I agree with what you say.  Maybe the council leader could strongly suggest the use of security people.  The problem is it is no secret that the bus is unwelcome in GWQ and I personally believe that Barratts only agreed to the bus stand in order to get the place built and will use any excuse now to stop it.  I sincerely hope it's not another 9 months before service is resumed.  The people of Brentford deserve better than this.

They have enough 'traffic attendants' ticketing almost anything on wheels there for the slightest infringement.  No clear markings and 'legal' signage that is unreadable.They use bailiffs and threats to get fines paid.This management lot are unspeakable and anyone buying a flat should be aware of the kind of charges and restrictions that will affect them or their visitors.How Sainsburys have not made more of a fuss is peculiar. No-one I know will dare to shop there. They must be way short of the amount of business the ought to be doing.

I found out about this today and am fuming. The head of transport and council leader are on the case and will be taking it up with TfL in the morning (head of transport may have done already).It is utterly unacceptable for the service to be suspended. It ran perfectly well last time the barrier was damaged by stopping in Ealing Road, though for the life of me I don't see why they just don't disable the barrier if it's damaged and employ security people if necessary.
