Free Dog Microchipping - Brentford, Heston, Bedfont, Feltham & Hounslow

From 6th April, it will be a legal requirement for dogs in England to be microchipped.  Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, in partnership with the Animal Warden service at Hounslow Council are holding a series of events across the borough where this service will be offered free of charge.Friday 1 April 2016Convent Way Recreation Ground, Convent Way, Heston,  UB2  (near Junction of North Hyde Lane) from 11am until 4pm.Saturday 2 April 2016Bedfont Library, Staines Road, Bedfont, TW14 8DB from 11am until 4pm.Sunday 3 April 2016Bedfont Lakes Country Park, Bedfont Road entrance, Bedfont, TW14 from 11am until 4pm.Monday 4 April 2016Lampton Park, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 from 11am until 4pm.Tuesday 5 April 2016Adrian Hall Garden Centre, Snakey Lane, Feltham, TW13 7ND from 11am until 4pm.Wednesday 6 April 2016Homebase Brentford, Syon Lane, Isleworth, TW7 6QE (Gillette Corner) from 11am until 4pmNo appointment necessary.

I think chipping is a good idea but what no-one has said is exactly who on earth is going to be able to enforce this?

Don't forget that you also need to update the information on the microchip if you move...  or if you change your mobile no.You can also use a form on this Dogs Trust website to update that information.http://www.chipmydog.org.uk/have-your-dog-chipped-for-free/calendar/Please remember that the Dogs Trust is a charity and donations are always welcome.
