JimAs we all realise, the digs at the prices charged at the Farmers Market was really nothing to do with the Farmers Market at all. The campaign by one or two disillusioned individuals was nothing more than a feeble smokescreen to attack the results of the socio-economic changes Brentford is evolving through. Good luck to the supporters of the Farmers Market, the growers, the producers and the customers. Then again, we could adopt the logic of the dissenters and return Brentford to a state where slum housing conditions existed, where workers lived and worked in deplorable conditions. Nah, I’d far rather have better living conditions, better health conditions, better working conditions and an environment where people want to come to Brentford and enjoy its amenities.
