Do you live in Middlesex or London?

I use always Middlesex when there is the option in the online form otherwise I put GL.I am start getting confused While Surrey is still county, Middlesex used to be a county correct?

Yes - we also use Middlesex.

I fill in my address as Middlesex, and I try to do it in full rather than abbreviate it to Middx.

Definitely Middlesex.And Russell Grant was the force that had Middlesex Signs reinstated at all it's key boundaries. That for Brentford is on the Middlesex side of Kew Bridge. Unless it's been removed.Richmond is still referred to as Richmond, Surrey ( so as no to confuse it with Richmond, Yorks or even Richmond, Virginia.It's Kew, Surrey.Maybe this site ought to be called Brentford, Middx.,

I've resurrected this topic because although we spend much time pointing out Brentford not Kew there is also the Greater London v Middlesex debate.People seem to be more emotionally attached to Middlesex rather than GL (regardless of which is deemed correct)and the post will be delivered either way.But, in the same way that estate agents think Kew has a higher price tag to it, businesses may do better (think online search engines for starters) if they call themselves London, rather than Middlesex.
