princess royal pub

Can anyone tell me why the princess royal pub has been closed until further notice

Fullers have found a buyer for the pub. According to a very reliable source it will remain a pub for the foreseeable but when the football club moves may well be redeveloped.

Think the lease is close to finishing, the girl that was managing it has left and there is a temporary manager in there now

We were asked a few months ago to join a small consortium in buying the place as it was up for sale but nothing came of it in the end

I don't know the answer to that but have sometimes wondered how The Princess Royal keeps going. Many an evening I have passed by and there has only been a handful of drinkers in there and on one occasion there was but the lone server behind the bar. Presumably the pub makes good money on match fixture days but otherwise certainly not.Did the pub once belong to the football ground? Does it still? Whatever, what's the betting that it will soon be sold and houses built?
