But that is my point Raymond, in my personal opinion Zac only hears the staunch blue flag waving well off majority which make up his constituency, and is out of touch with the rest of London.I've worked on behalf of clients whom Zac has assisted in the past, and as I said from the outset he is a very capable constituency MP, but put him in City Hall and he'll do his best to ensure W/SW London stays undeveloped, that Gatwick gets another runway instead of Heathrow etc., because that's his neck of the woods.  Which is great for the residents of W/SW London, but is going to be very damaging for the residents of the rest of the capital. He has this absurd notion that there's sufficient land within the capital to deliver the housing growth London needs.  I've seen no statistics to back that up, but I do know that despite seeing development taking place all over London (thereby reducing the amount of brownfield and available) the levels of new homes being built in recent years area are below the average over the last 40 years.  Which is not only pretty scary but demonstrates how pie in the sky it is to suggest that the few brownfield sites left can deliver the massive numbers of housing required. As for Galloway, suffice to say I'm not very fond of him or what he stands for, and suffice to say that is a massive understatement of my contempt for him.Now as for nimbies, for the thousandth time I'll remind you I act both on behalf of developers in support of applications, and on behalf of third parties, be they individuals or groups, in objecting to applications, e.g. I acted on behalf of a group objecting to the Brentford FC application.  And very occasionally I even object myself to applications as a local resident.  So don't be silly and suggest that I regard nimbies as anyone who is concerned about development or planning matters, because no only is it completely wrong but it gets my back up because at the end of the day if I thought everyone was a nimby I wouldn't bother posting about planning issues on these forums.Take for example the recent public meeting about the Chiswick Curve.  Now I've never hid from my association with someone with an interest in the site nor my early involvement in that scheme and consequently because I don't think it's professionally or personally wise to do so I've not got involved in any of the threads about it.However, whilst I didn't attend the public meeting last week, I was amused at how the panel for that meeting was obviously chosen to be as NIMBY about the proposal as possible.  Like for example the lady from London skyline or whatever it's called who is an architect and yet, somewhat similarly to Zac, claims that London's housing crisis can be solved by low height developments on brownfield land.  Such a claim is absurd, and it begs the question "so do you support the release of green belt because that's the only way other than high rise developments to address the crisis ?".  But of course the public meeting was about the Curve, and hence the bottom line is that speaker's whole brief is about being anti tall buildings and sod everything else, which is pretty much as NIMBY as you can get.Not that I could on the Curve, but on other sites there's nothing to stop groups coming to me for advice or such like if they wanted to, but few do because to be frank they don't like to hear my honest thoughts because it isn't what they want to hear.  And it is always nice when, as they often do, posters contact me off forum and say how refreshing it is that I'm completely straight with people the likelihood of an objection being successful, what grounds are credible, what grounds are nonsense etc.I'm not here to win friends, I'm not here to win clients be they developers or third parties, I call things as I see them based on the best part of 20 years experience working for Councils, developers and consultants, and if a third party comes to me with what I think are credible objections to a scheme I'll happily help them, but equally if I think residents have no credible objection and are simply being obstructive nimbies I'll stand up and say so, e.g. the Essex Place JR.
