Piano Recital: next Thursday: old Isleworth Church

Pinned to a notice board at Brentford Library on Saturday,an A4 advertisement announced  that a piano recital...with music by Bach, Chopin and Liszt...would be taking place at the old Isleworth Church (All Saints??) near the London Apprentice...next Thursday at 8pm."Wine and a collection box"Then on Monday, at the Griffin Park Jazz Club...an evening of Vintage and Orleans Jazz is on the menu. Leave your knitting at home..and get those feet tapping!Wouldn't it be good to have a comprehensive calendar on this website. Monday to Fridays 11am-2pm home cooked lunches, snacks and drinks, at St Paul's Church, St Paul's Road.!!Oh the joys of Brentford and Isleworth.

Yes and there is a quiz night being held at All Saints' Church on Friday night too.  Starts at 8pm, costs £5 a head including light refreshments.  There will be a paying bar to help raise funds for the church.  All welcome.

Keith: lol !Yes it's this Thursday 8pm. There is a rear vehicular access to the Church grounds..but the track is very muddy in parts with very large puddles. Best park on the riverfront somewhere?

Estelle:Thanks for your interest in this cultural event.As mentioned in my opening message, the recital is taking place....according to the notice board at Brentford Library...on Thursday, at 8pm at the Church in Old Isleworth..overlokking the River.No entry fee was mentioned...just the words  "Collection" and "Wine".  The Riverside setting, the interior views of the Church and the melodies of Chopin should add up to a magic moment.

Phil: I've marked Thursday in my diary...for that music event at All Saints Church..near the London Apprentice. 8pmAn opportunity to visit an historical Isleworth landmark,a building of religious and architectural interest..and to hear the work of the Bach , Chopin and Liszt.  Does anyone else know about the event via other listings?

JimI can vouch for the dinners at St. Paul's.  For some months my wife Caroline and I ate there every Wednesday and the food was always enjoyable and very reasonably priced.Will you be going to the piano recital?
