Georgian Book Illustration - Free talk
The summer-long programme of events based on the current exhibition at Boston Manor House, 'Layton's Library: A Curious Collection', kicks off on Saturday 9th July with this free talk by Professor Francis Ames-Lewis. Professor Ames-Lewis will explain the different printing techniques used for making illustrations in books of the 17th and 18th centuries, their advantages and their drawbacks, and provide attendees with the chance to explore books from the Thomas Layton library.The talk will start at 2pm and again at 3.30pm.
