London Broncos V St Helens sat 16th april

After a slightly disappointing easter period the Broncos will be looking to consolidate their position in the top 6 and confirm their growing reputation as one of the most entertaining sides in Super League against one of the biggest names in the game St Helens. The Saints are packed full of internationals and will be a huge test of London Broncos capabilities. Come on London,lets hope the boys can turn things around this saturday,should be a decent crowd as the club have given away hundreds of free tickets to junior players in the area!

It would be great to get match reports on the site,as you are probably well aware Sally getting media coverage for the Broncos is a hard task which is a real shame because a bit more publicity would maybe encourage a few more locals to try out a game or two and see what they think,alas most people either dont know we exist or think we are an american football team or something.I agree with what you say about the whole atmosphere,totally different to football,you can sit next to,have a beer with away fans no problems.After the game you can have a chat with the players in the bar,and you feel much more part of the club than following a football team.Good luck to the boys tonight,understand Johns not playing,is he rested or injured?

Sally,you're an ex-lilywhites fan?I spend many a Saturday afternoon on the Kop at Deepdale during my early teens watching them fulfil the motto'you lose some ,you draw the rest'.They were a pretty poor team in those days,not so much now. I too have lost interest slightly in football(the premiership anyway)since it seems to be taking over the universe and seems to pervade almost everything in some people's consciousness.All the best to North End and the Broncos :-)

The atmosphere at a Broncos match for kiddies is great. (Unfortunately) the stadium is never that packed so you don't need to worry about nippers getting trampled on or lost - and the queue for the toilets is never that long!They also have face painting, flags, pompom waving and Try/No Try signs to hold up to the cameras.The game is very quick in pace so there is lots of action to see and the points scores are uusually high. After each Bronco try they play music and the cheerleaders get up and dance. It is also good fun when the match is broadcast on Sky as you can usually see yourself on the big screens and the flashing graphics make it even more exciting.I have NEVER seen a fight or any form of violence at a rugby league match (in the stands that is - there's often a bit of scrapping on the pitch) and the crowd is very well behaved.I used to be a football fan myself (Preston North End!!) but I have turned my back on footie now. A friend took me to see the Arsenal 5-0 win over Leeds last year and I found it very boring in comparison to the fun of a rugby league match.

Griffin Park is a great venue for children to see football. We rarely hear bad language and see trouble. How suitable is it for me to take my 5 year old son to rugby league? I mean in terms of the crowd and atmosphere - he is a fan of the sport already from the TV

As he is my boyfriend I shall be keeping him well away from all the other young ladies!!But there is indeed plenty of totty for the girls to admire - i have already converted three fans of the wimpy version of egg chasing to the joys of rugby league after they were shown the boys' naked photo shoot with Rachel Stevens.Looking forward to the Saints game. I think we should start a campaign for Matt to put Broncos match reports on this site, what do you reckon Bill?

Thats right ,a first halk hat-trick i believe! Good to see him amongst the tries,it will be interesting to see who will be first choice wingers against Leeds this saturday,and Saints the folowing week. Lee Greenwood,Nick Bradley-Qalillala (?)and John have all scored a few in recent games,so that should keep them all on their toes! Good news for John that he is popular with the ladies,you are spoilt for choice with all the good looking fit young lads playing for the Broncos this season!(That should get a couple of the ladies down)!
