If all else fails public houses are desperate for trade these days, and those who don't serve Sunday lunches will probably have plenty of space available. If there is a small charge involved I'm sure it won't be too difficult to organise a whip-round amongst those present. This all sounds very suspicious. Knowing Curran and his crew I would expect them to try to apply pressure to have a meeting like this closed down, it would be an absolutely instinctive response. Whether the church would yield to such pressure is of course another matter, I don't know enough about them or what relationship, if any, they have with Curran to be able to form a view.
