Albany Arms

Looks like the Albany Arms has finally closed it's doors as a pub for good. A planning application has been made to convert it into six flats with an extension. It's been closed for a while, and few will mourn it's passing due to it's unfortunate reputation in latter years. But it was a great pub 20 years ago - a hive of activity then, but went severely downhill subsequently. I should point out that this is a pre-application - so still a long way to go - but it's certainly an indication of the owner's intentions and the future of the site.
