Parking !!!

How do we sort out the appaling situation of parking on the Haverfield estate? Only area now which doesn't have CPZ so obviously is full up and impossible to park in for residents? It honestly does determine your day. I have a mother in law who lives in West Drayton who is seriously ill and who I would want to go and visit after work regularly but I know if I do, when I get back I will definetly not be able to park anywhere so I have to chose to either go and then drive around and try and park miles away, although everywhere is CPZ so that's fairly imposssible, go on a bus, train, bus there and back or not go, all because of parking.People are simply parking anywhere on the estate, blocking pavements and other cars in, it truly is ridiculous. The council knows this all and have had" meetings" after " meetings", walk abouts and discussions but appear to not really be at all bothered, it doesn't effect them, and have done nothing. So a year later we are still in an increasingly frustrating and upsetting position.

I don't want CPZ either, just another tax, however I do not see another way to make it more likely to be able to park. Telling you it is Hounslow Homes reponsibility is crazy as they don't exist anymore it is Hounslow council. No one seems responsible.

When I contacted Hounslow Parking DisServices about double & triple parking on the Haverfield, the reply was that they had no jurisdiction there and that it was Hounslow Homes' problem.Madness! I don't want a CPZ but I *do* want double-parking dealt with.

Pay for a CPZ. That may help. (I never once voted for the one introduced in my road/area but it went through in the end.)

I entirely agree with that Jane as it would crowd out non-residents from the CPZ roads whilst including locals who want to drive a few minutes to their local station.

This whole thing needs a rethink.  Might be better to stop with individual streets and instead have a Borough wide parking permit which would allow us to move freely around our Borough without the fear or worry about where to go to park when it turns out the address you are visiting is blocked by a CPZ.

That's because LBH keep on approving developments with inadequate parking.Who in turn blame 'Policy' when in fact it's being used as an excuse by both politicians with agendas and developers to save on costs and increase unit density.You need to lobby councillors and government. Too few do. just the politically active and financially vested which is why such nonsense is carried through.
