Huge thanks Hounslow Highways

Late yesterday afternoon a neighbour knocked at my door to say someone was dumping rubbish by our small park, which is a constant problem. We went to see what was going on as she had observed a real pair of little charmers pulling assorted rubbish from the boot of a car. I asked them if they were aware what they were doing was an offence, at which point they denied doing anything! Their mate on a bike rode off smirking, and I took the car reg. no. and they took off at a rate of knots. What got us was that when this was going on my neighbour said people just walked by!I reported this to Hounslow Highways and the police and at 6.30. this morning HH cleared the rubbish - pretty impressive, of course whether or not any action against the little sh*ts who did this will be forthcoming is another matter. Please if you see this don't walk by and moan later - say something and take as many details as you can and always report it.

The few selfish who make problems for everyone else.  Now is the time that students are leaving their accommodation and now that they can buy everything on credit and have no sense of time or volume (of sound or space) will suddenly find that they can't get as much as they thought into the bag/trolley/car/bus/train...  and that the charity shop is closed. The website Streetlife can be good for passing stuff on. It would be good if the Councils worked with the universities and charities to help those moving out to dispose of their extra possessions legally, responsibly and thoughtfully.I see Simon has a table top sale today!

Doesn't it make you mad? This I don't want to get involved attitude, I don't want to live  in a sh*t heap either, even if these morons do. This sort of thing reflects on everyone and that's without the cost of it. I want my council tax spent on things we all need, not clearing up after anti-social ar**holes.

Walking home the other evening I notice one of my neighbours children dumping items like an old bed frame mattress etc and a lot of other items. I informed Hounslow wardens and with-in 12 hours the guy was visited by the police. A day later I was talking to a friend who saw the children plus there father with 12 wheel barrow loads of  hard cord being dumped in communial bins. I wasn't aware of this but asked him why he didn't report it. The answer I got  " WHY!"Thank you to Hounslow Enforement Top Guys.

Might just stick up some cctv notices and see if they dump it elsewhere.....well they aren't going to take it to the tip, are they.

As far as I know nothing - but if our plans for the park are successful then I'm sure we could find a use for the building, should the furniture project decide to call it a day. I have mentioned CCTV before and been told that it makes the situation worse! Not sure how that works? What annoys me is the speed with which CCTV can be employed to catch drivers being naughty, but of course there's money in that, this constant clearing of rubbish has to be costing a small fortune. A couple of prosecutions with lovely big fines might concentrate a few minds.

When this tipping went on at the recycling bank at Homebase, and then Morrisons, instead of using the cctv it was left until it got so bad it was used as an excuse to close the sites.  What could the furniture project site be ear marked for, I wonder?

Yet another tipping incident o/s the Hounslow Furniture Project - this is since the clear up on Saturday, sick and tired of reporting this. Why not CCTV to catch these morons?

We are really happy with the Kew tip.  The workers are friendly and happy to help.  I always say thank you, and mean it.  It helps that I can pop into the retail park on the way back, lots of parking and a good selection of shops.  I have seen the stores provide personal assistants/shoppers for people having disabilities.  I often bump into neighbours in Marks so lots of us travel over there.

Stand by for more fly tipping as Space Waye is closing on October 3 and will open at weekends only for residents, this will last until mid 2017, for new arrangements at the site. Only an idiot would try and get near the place at weekends once that starts. Presumably Mortlake will be able to be used?

Another well done to the out of hours service.  A couple of weeks ago in the wee small hours I went along Musgrave road and found my way blocked by some bin bags which looked like they had been thrown out into the middle of the road and then hit by a car so were badly split open.  I had difficulty getting around them and could not move them myself, so I pulled over and called the emergency night people.  By the time I came back about an hour later the big stuff in the road had gone and a few hours later the street had been cleared and cleaned.
