Remembrance Sunday in Isleworth

Service at the War Memorial o/s St. Bridget's church junction Twickenham Rd./South St. 10.45a.m. This year also sees the 100th Anniversary of The Battle of the Somme. The local "390 Project" which is researching all the names of those inscribed on the memorial has also through their research, managed to locate some of the relatives of those men, who will be attending. Local schools will be taking part to represent the fallen of 1916, and there will be a display of some of the work undertaken.

They are simply people who don't care/and probably don't understand about how we pay respects to the thousands upon thousands of our ancestors who gave up their lives for our freedom or were badly mutilated during the two terrible wars in Europe and other wars since.  They are people who have no interest in our heritage...whoever they are.

Biggest turnout I have ever seen, well organised and thoroughly fitting. If only those brain-dead motorists who thought they would use their horns during the two minutes silence could show some respect - what is wrong with these people?
