Nearly all the yellow lines on Haverfields are there so the dustcart can turn corners or get to bins. The only tickets that are valid are issued parking opposite a dropped kerb, parking on the pavement. The vast majority are issued on event days. The yellow lines have nothing to do with the CPZ. Which hasn't been passed yet.

How any one can say Haverfields does not have a day time parking problem is not correct. from 0700 in the morning when people leave for work. Hounslow staff pull in to resident bays and are parked until 1500. Then just before 1000 residents from BRS park on the estate to miss the CPZ time. Then there are the hotel guests, and people from GWQ and the boat people, people who work in Kew park in Pottery. I live here see this every day. I will give my elected councillors 100% backing to get the CPZ in Haverfields ASAP. I dread tomorrow once the commercial vehicles finish for Xmas they will be parked up until Jan 3rd. Many are in breach of there operators licence as they should be parked in a secure area, cant see there insurance covering them parking on Haverfields if anything should happen. Which I hope nothing does happen but that is not my problem.

Just been told that tickets have already been issued on the new Yellow lines on Haverfield Estate.Apparently when you ring up, the advice is to contest it. But as far as any resident is concerned, they are not operational yet.

According to the news story in this very website, "They say the purpose of this CPZ is to ... increase parking provision for residents and their visitors."If that's what they told BrentfordTW8, they are blatantly lying. If you're got the map of the proposed zone - and all residents should have got one - have a count. Adding in the proposed double-yellows and all the other crap, and while it's not as bad as the original concept, we'll still be down several parking places. The worst thing though is that, as far as I can tell from walking around while the BRS zone is in force in the morning, most of the estate does not have a problem with daytime parking. What we have is a major problem with overnight parking. So unless the Council's Traffic Team are willing to apply *and enforce* a zone at, say, 11pm to midnight, the proposed CPZ will be worse than useless.

I don't know - probably not. Doesn't there need to be associated signage - or is that only for single-yellows?More importantly though, they are not in the places shown on the map of the proposed CPZ.

It's still at the proposal stage. And it's going to be rubbish - it'll take away some of our parking spaces and do precisely *nothing* about the real blight, which is excessive parking overnight.

Not yet, but soon it will be. You will need to apply for a permit.

Don't know about that but whoever painted the renewed white lines on the Syon Estate wants to start taking a bit more water with it. They are all over the place.
