Christmas tree recycling

Having just bought my Christmas tree from the nice man in the Beehive carpark (who by the way I recommend), my thoughts turn to how I will recycle it in January?  I do not pay for garden waste collection and I assume there is no mass collection like in previous years, so ... what to do?

They may of course still decide to do something completely different.Christmas always seems to come as a surprise - when continuity would be useful!

Some people prefer to get rid of their Christmas trees earlier than the New Year!  It depends on what they are doing over Christmas and New Year...  and how they organise the small amount of time they may or may not have off.

Oh, good grief.  If you can get your Christmas tree to one of those drop off zones, you can surely get it to the tip at Kew?  Why not have the garden rubbish people just chuck them in the back of the truck when they see them out the front of a house, regardless of whether they have paid for garden recycling.
