Has the 2016 Air Quality Progress Report appeared yet ?The 2014 one at http://www.hounslow.gov.uk/air_quality is dated October 2014 and the 2015 Update and Screening assessment was dated November 2015. So if the old reporting system is still active, another one should have been done.Anyone seen it ?

I think the answers are; yes, isleworth or feltham are perfect, yes, because they're as shortsighted as their predecessors, they know the answer will be no and then they'll have to stop approving stupid developments in Brentford.Just imagine if the Essential Living development was parked in the middle of Isleworth. I think the local council would then come up with every reason under the sun as to why it is inappropriate, over scale, monolithic, only aimed at young couples, doesn't meet any requirement of the local plan, has no historical or architectural context, and they'd probably throw in that it has insufficient parking.

"Brentford and Gunnersbury regularly feature as among the highest polluted parts of London."Could this be because the M4 and A4 bisect Brentford and the North Circular runs by Gunnersbury?As far as additional pollution from construction work is concerned you have to ask yourself "do I really want no more housing in the area?" or "if no new homes are built in the most polluted areas where else in the borough can they be built?"The ultimate lunacy is of course the building of a new runway at Heathrow which will automatically increase the pressure on local roads e.g. M4, A4 and North Circular. Why has Hounslow's ruling Labour Group refused to seek help from the London Mayor to oppose the runway? He is supporting the efforts of other London Borough's.Why do they also refuse to hold a local referendum on the expansion of Heathrow so that the Government will know what residents really think about adding to local pollution problems in this way?

I read somewhere it's equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, and has the same effect on health and mortality.Today's pollution level can be seen athttp://www.hounslow.gov.uk/index/environment_and_planning/air_quality.htmInteresting to note that Brentford and Gunnersbury regularly feature as among the highest polluted parts of London. Also interesting to note that the Air Quality Action Plan and Air Quality Progress Report from our local council don't actually appear to have any action plan or progress, just lots of reporting.  I'd suggest the way to get pollution under control is to stop building massively oversized developments that jam more and more people, cars, lorries and construction work into a small area, but I guess that doesn't feature when the environmental manager is also the development manager. 15 cigarettes a day - children included.
