Not even in the UK. But from several US cities and then from cities where emissions and climate are not even similar to London.Not one person dared challenge them, but nor were even written questions on this subject acknowledged nor when asked directly afterwards by myself and three others. Too busy being feted by those eager for votes.Yes. there are big but solvable problems and issues and things that can be done. But it is so slanted to one area it beggars belief. The real culprits will not be dealt with but appeased and the big stick waved elsewhere.With experts making a very nice living from the gravy train vociferously avoiding answering questions about where they get their data, who funds them, and what the motives for who funds them actually are. You won't find any of that on their websites.Everyone, MPs Councillors and ordinary people should be able to ask and get an honest answer. They won't and we won't and that is what should concern each and every person.With every diesel bus and diesel vehicle removed in London, the Nitrogen Oxide emissions will reduce by less than 2%.The amount of toxins emitted to produce Hydrogen, electricity, and batteries exceeds the toxins emitted, by a wide margin. All very well reducing the level a tiny bit locally but it foists the problem elsewhere. In in the bigger picture that has implications somewhere on this planet.This emission blamed on by cars comes from any extreme heat generation and the greater amount released into the atmosphere is from Lightning and volcanic activity, as well as slash and burn practices on other continents.The amount from vehicles is tiny and the only estimates of N Ox emmissions include all the cruder combustion machines from power generators to oil central heating boilers Excavators and locomotives to taxis. In the UK most of these types of units are long gone except in buildings where very little has changed.Reducing the speed of heavy through traffic increases emissions of all sorts.This is being confused by the safety benefits of reducing residential area speed limits.The costs in jobs and commercial ability for this city outside of the usual emphasis of Financial and administrative businesses will be very high, The damage will filter through to higher unemployment, lower incomes and standards of living and with that comes an increase in health social and welfare costs. Far more people will die younger and be chronically ill earlier.We are as corrupt in this country as in the third world, just far more proficient at hiding it .Real transparency is what is needed, it's bad enough with local day to day affairs but to see such a stage show with people nodding and pertinent questions being avoided just shows that whatever gets pushed through will make not a jot of difference but will yet again create a few quid and a few more egos in the same time honoured way.Very disappointing
