"...and no-one in our CLP would do anything other than condemn it for a really appalling abuse of the law"Well, maybe then you would like the honour of being the first to do so? Your colleagues David Hughes, Alan Sheerins, "Frank Carson" and others use these forums frequently but no such comments have been made publicly. On the ICG election site at www.voteforphilandrews.org.uk the following message recently appeared:"You'll NEVER beat Labour in Hounslow we will rule FOREVER. Have'nt you heard of the POSTAL VOTE? HA HA HA so long you suckers."Of course there is every possibility that this posting was made by an opponent of the Labour Party in order to discredit it, but several days down the line nobody from the Labour Party has thought to disassociate themselves or their party from it.For the record I accept that most active Labour members would probably not personally engage in actual vote fiddling, but I am afraid there would appear to be a culture of dishonesty and amorality developing within your party. Your election leaflets in 2002 reflected that culture, as do Ann & Alan Keen's expense claims, the joint distribution of Labour election leaflets with HM Magazine, Bliar's conduct over Iraq and the leadership's arrogant refusal to do anything to check the growth of electoral fraud which has come about as a direct result of its own electoral legislation.Like it or not the Labour Party nationally and locally has indeed acquired a reputation for being dishonest and amoral, and shouting and demanding apologies from anybody who points this out will do nothing to change it. You will recall that Alan Sheerins made several demands for an apology from me when I suggested that foul play had taken place over the delivery of your GLA election leaflets for which you were allegedly invoiced by Regal Distributions. When I proved that no contract had in fact existed with Regal, he (and you) well and truly "buttoned it".If you are concerned for the image of your party then I would suggest you do something to improve it. Your party's present policy seems to be to ignore these issues in the hope that others will lose interest in them. Trust me, we won't.
