Resurfacing Crowther Avenue

Received this classic letter from highways department dated 3rd March. Second paragraph "we will begin resurfacing on Monday 3rd March". Sixth paragraph referring to trimming of boundary vegetation " please ensure it is completed by Sunday 3rd March" . As my wife said " do they proof read these letters " answer no. This is like a few months ago when we received a map outlining proposed CPZ outside my house and neighbors was marked for parking bay and yellow line we have a shared crossover! Map did not show a single crossover in Crowther Avenue. No response from highways. Oh well rant over.Hounslow get your act together when you raise our council tax.

At last! This is (was) my main cycling route and a far safer route avoiding South Ealing Road but is hopeless for cycles of any sort and none to good for cars.At least 40 years overdue.So presumably, Gas and water works will commence 3 weeks after resurfacing?

Following contact from Ms Selfe I have taken this nonsense up with Hounslow Highways.The good news is HH are finally resurfacing Clayponds Avenue and Crowther Ave. The bad news is they cannot manage a correct letter!

Neither do they proof read their famous policies as we have recently pointed out to them, we have been tussling with one that was contradictory and plain daft. Do they accept it? Don't be silly! They just merrily blunder on........
