Residents Parking Permits Pottery Road

I have tried to apply for a residents permit for pottery road and according to Hounslow Councils website there are no permits available for these addresses, considering the permit system is being installed on the 21-03-2017 I am left worrying and confused on what to do, does anyone else have any knowledge on this?.Secondly the four disabled bays on the left as you enter Pottery Road which have been marked as disabled bays but the council have waivered penalties on these bays are being re-marked as disabled bays, even though two of the bays are on a slant, (not the best if you are disabled)will the council enforce these bays?

We are going to renew ours but found so many hoops to jump through that we timed out and fell at the final hurdle. We are not sure if we did pay or not in the end.  But could not find any visitors permits either.It rejected our only bank card as invalid. Which it isn't. But why don't they do PayPal? or be able to ring up and pay?  So will have to do it all again next week.

To be fair, they're pretty quick- when the BRS one was introduced it only took a couple of days. Beware- I've just renewed mine and, for some reason, had to pay the full £80 up front, then try and get them to pay me back £40 because my car is tax band A. They seem much keener on taking money out of my account than putting it back.

A letter received this week and dated 29th March says the CPZ is now due to become operational on Mon 24th April.It says permits become valid 10 days after you apply, so the advice is to "apply on or shortly before 14 April". No doubt the system will then collapse under the load, and we'll be fighting illegally-issued parking tickets for months afterwards...

John - the CPZ doesn't come into operation until 10th APril - they are just marking out the bays at present.You will get a letter soon about how to apply for a permit - I will get back to you about the disabled bays.
