It's as a result of phony Tony's focus group,quango ,quasi-left wing think tank culture that gives jobs to the Jeremy and Jemimahs who have their degrees in media studies etc.The same ones that throw the baby out with the bath water when coming to terms with the history of this fine Island.

Unfortunately given the mysterious deaths at Deepcut I'd say deepest Surrey was probably just as dangerous as Baghdad.

Without for one minute taking anything away from those brave and heroic men and women who served their Country so loyally and unselfishly, but seems fair to say that if many were still alive today this Goverment would be having some of them charged with Murder , for shooting the enemy or worse still being human, much like the poor sods who served in NI and Iraq , for the life of me I cannot understand why they(the recruits ) bother  better off on the dole (safer to)better to be mugged in Bagshot than ambushed in Bagdad

that is terrible why should they be offended as st george is also the st of their country to as he was born there so i dont see why they would have been offended i would like to know who make these silly rules as in rome do as the romans do.

Wonderful concept , however I think such a display of Patriotism may well upset some person dwelling apon the face of this planet or maybe some other, and would therefore be banned , much like the Royal Navy at Portsmouth being  as I understand it denied permission to fly the flag on St Georges day , cos a foreign warship was in port , and the crew might have been offended , some freedom .
