?Sparrow hawk

There appears to be a bird of prey nesting on one of the balconies on the south facing side of one of the Brentford Towers. I think it might be a sparrow hawk. It's been there for a few days now. Has anyone else seen/heard it, preferably with more knowledge and binoculars!

I've also seen the Red Kites in West Drayton. We had a really good close up view of them from my friend's top floor flat backing onto the canal opposite Morrisons.

Birds of prey seem to be making a comeback. Our motorways have offered a perfect habitat for many birds of prey with both Kestrels and Red Kites moving eastwards along the M4 and M40 towards West London. Last week I saw a pair of Red Kites hovering over the motorway verge at West Drayton - the furthest east I have ever seen them.

I saw two of them flying round during the week, so I think there's a pair. You can often see one of them on the south side of the second block from the Ealing Road side of Green Dragon Lane. I think that is Maudsley House, and it's the fourth balcony from the top. The top one is probably not actually a balcony, but have counted it. This morning one of them was perched on to of Boulton House. It's a big bird. I've managed to get myself an old pair of binoculars, but they aren't really strong enough. If you drive up North Road by the Travelodge, you can see them from there.
