LEGAL CLAIM AGAINST HOUNSLOW COUNCIL: UPDATEWe have now completed stages 1 & 2 of this process.Hounslow's response has been weak and whilst local authorities commonly agree to an order saying residents legal costs should be capped at £5,000, Hounslow have refused this in order to tactically put us at risk of a large legal bill and deter us from pursuing the claim. We will need to make this decision this week. The crowdfunding has now reached the £5,000 mark but the reality is that without significantly more donations we will not reach our stretch target and be able to take this to the next stages. There is 1 day left to go on the current round of crowd funding. We are awaiting the additional data from tfl but as one of our contributors noted, this will not reveal a magic bullet solution. In the absence of these proceedings that data will merely confirm what we all know.Meanwhile, the new developments are beginning to complete and Green School for Boys will open in September.Cllrs Dennison and Dunne are poised to implement measures on Linkfield Road. The failure to consider the Linkfield Road measures when deciding to close Church Street is one of the legal grounds in the proceedings. The measures on Linkfield Road will push a third more traffic onto St John's road despite the fact that half of all Isleworth Town Children use this road to go to school and the lollipop lady on that road was recently knocked over by a car. Traffic will increase on Amhurst Gardens which has already seen a 4 fold increase in accidents at the junction of the Twickenham Road. Osterley Ward journey's into Old Isleworth will be more delayed. We cannot do this without your help and if we as a community wish to really call Hounslow Council out for what it is doing to us we need to contribute to the funding of this litigation.A big thank you for all the donations that we have already received and for your continued support.
