The Lib Dem's plan for a local income tax.... :0(
Perhaps I should read the LibDem leaflet...but will their local Income tax plans mean that EVERYBODY living in the Borough of Hounslow would have to be listed...just like the old Poll Tax?That would be an interesting task for the Civic Centre..who alreadyhave a disagreement with the Government about Hounslow's population figures. (Remember, we received a reduced Government Grant for this year because Mr Raynsford disagreed with Hounslow Council on this matter)Or would the extra tax just be raised on the registered home owner...for Council Tax purposes. That could initiate some interesting avoidance schemes.
