Family tree software - help!

Starting from scratch and new PC, which should I go for?

I thought I replied to this but clearly I forgot to press a button. I used to use Kith and Kin http://kithkinpro.spansoft.org/ which was easy to use, produced by a small company who were very good at answering queries. Free to use for 30 days so you can evaluate.

Which website will you be using for your research? Be very careful with FREE software. See if there is a PC clinic in your local library. Please don't risk wrecking your PC. I know what advice I am giving, none. I have always bought used PC's as I have found the small business very help and sincere if thats the word.Free software. Well is anything free????
