Late night knocking

On Friday around 10pm there was frantic knocking on my door, then banging on front windows followed by someone bellowing 'hellooo' through the letterbox, I didn't answer. Today around 10.30pm, there was single knock on the door and then the person left. This happened on Ealing road, has anyone experienced anything similar recently? Am not sure how best to proceed...

Happened in Netley Rd a few months ago. A man and a woman knock on one door gave a sob story said the lived down the road need £20 to get to hospital. Wasn't till the next day did they find out they had been conned.

Me too - Whitestile Road. Knock on window and I caught a glimpse of a woman in the doorway on a mobile phone. By the time I got to the front door she'd gone.

Phone 101 if it happens again. Ask neighbours if they have had similar. Write down dates and times on paper. This can be useful at a later date if needed.
