Thanks for the kind wishes and Ann, over on W4, too.The bottle is a fine idea, which worked really well, but there are others we are picking up on now we are venturing into this area of care.MIL now has a key safe (supplied and fitted free). This is a small safe which goes on the outside of the house and has a combination lock on it. You place a spare key inside it and give the number to a few people such as a trusty neighbour, so if anything should happen it is easy to gain access. We have met the local Crime prevention officer at her nearby Police Station, and she will visit MIL in her house to check her security and make suggestions. It is really useful to have the chat at the house, especially about taking care in answering the door. Lovely idea. One of our neighbours has a spy hole, fitted through Hounslow Police which has very good vision the other side, and an intercom so you can hear what is being said the other side of the door. Again, supplied and fitted for free. She also had a visit from the fire brigade and free fire alarms fitted.
