Guy's updates and Labour candidate selections

I've been following these with interest and like others I'm grateful for an often witty and informative read.It wasn't covered in the updates, but I was wondering whether Guy received the urgent investigation and, if necessary, rectification he was seeking over the shenanigans in Hounslow West?  One assumes that under the circumstances the Procedures Secretary would not have just allowed the ballot to go ahead?

GuyThanks for the reassurance that the investigation and rectification that you requested were granted, and that the Procedures Secretary didn't simply ignore you and allow the ballot in Hounslow West to proceed in spite of the clear irregularities of which you complained.I know of course that had he done that a man of your character and integrity would have not have just rolled over and accepted it but would be challenging such a decision at every level.Please accept my apology for ever doubting your moral fibre and fortitude.

LBH KERBSIDE Collection  (You can recycle more elsewhere)Getting the message across depends on how people access info.The page on the LBH website that Guy has given the link to can be printed by choosing print on the tab bar on the bottom of the page.There is also the free Council magazine which is always filled with info on what the Council does.There is - I notice now - a little list that could be cut out of the latest Hounslow Matters (page 7):file:///C:/Users/User/Downloads/Hounslow_matters_autumn2017_231017.pdfThe Hounslow Matters that I was referring to though which I prefer was an earlier one (page 9 certainly but maybe more):file:///C:/Users/User/Downloads/HM_June_2017_low_res22%20(1).pdfOn my computer I can choose to just print off one specific page.You should check in case there has been any re-writing.I haven't checked what the status is with regard to Space Waye.  However I would point out that you should check the other HWRC sites as things can change.  For instance I happen to know that it is NO VANS at Stirling Road Acton.My links will always be ones to highlight, copy and paste into you browser. I haven't tried or conquered clickable ones.Good Luck.

Philippa what is the page in which issue of Hounslow Matters please?  Would it be of help to new people moving into the Borough and not familiar with our recycling/refuse collections?

I applaud his efforts following the bin lorry.  I wonder whether he has any printed info from LBH.  As I pointed out in another post there is a very good page of Hounslow Matters that could be printed out - if LBH doesn't have any print-outs.  I used to do this for university students moving into new accommodation and this is something that I believe that all landlords and agents should provide.
