HANWELL HOOTIE 2018

Just read there are going to be 5 four day events in Hanwell. Watch out Boston Manor Park springs to mind. I was shocked to learn these are FOUR day events.

Adam, you have been missing a real treat with the Hootie. Next year will be the sixth one(I think) and this year it was a really great event.

Latest update - the organisers have withdrawn the multiple day applications and have stuck with their usual.Have a copy of what they say but cannot work out how to upload it here.

Thanks for that.  Although there's contrasting claims within the article about the duration of the Hootie.As for "people are very upset" I can't help but chuckle at some of the local concerns (e.g. harm to kids, distressing music etc.), as I always advise objectors if you want your objections to be treated with the weight that they deserve keep them credible and don't exaggerate, otherwise what might otherwise be a credible objection becomes abit absurd/laughable.

If you look on the Ealing newsletter you will see it is FIVE four day events. Not one four day event but five. People are very upset. One event is going to be in St Georges Field right near houses.

Well despite living in Brentford for over 15 years now I've never even heard of the Hanwell Hootie.And I can't see anywhere that suggests it's a 4 day event, it seems to take place one day, predominantly comprising bands performing in different buildings within Hanwell.On the face of it that's not the end of the world is it ?.
