Well, congrats to the Hammers,but being a Preston fan I can't sincerely say 'good luck'....I only hope that the Lilywhites can regain their place in the top flight ,a place that they lost when the great Sir Tom Finney retired in 1960.It would be wonderful for him to lead them out on the first game of the season if they win promotion.That would also mean 8 teams from Lancashire(birthplace of the Football League)in the top division,and its'first ever champions back amongst the big boys.

Sorry, I am lost - there is possibly something rude you are talking about.  In my enthusiasm for some gentle discussion, I got very excited about Biba's belly dancing thread in amongst all the political angst.  I had even considered reviving the notion of a 'leave Ann Keen alone' thread, but I thought that might spark it all off again.  The idea of sitting here blowing bubbles in the middle of all this mayhem, sounded good to me.
