It's a great idea but not quite right. The bikes look good, but like expensive coffee shops charging too much for a coffee, in trendy surroundings, unless it's really good and something as special as they always promise, you never go back. They are simply perfect if you live in the Fens or Holland. But boy! do they let you know that this district is a lot hillier than it seems.I do already know that as I do use my own bike which is none to light either. But these are simply too heavy, have no gears and are getting damaged from being dumped and mistreated. I cannot manage to get up to Ealing or Northfields without having to stop more than once and getting the fatigue wobbles.Mobikes have now had to increase the charge as the damage to the bikes and losses are unsustainable. That's down to people and a shame. But the way in which they are just dumped and left shows that people don't deserve a scheme like this yet.But I think the future might be electrically assisted bikes in the same vein but with smaller docking stations in sensible locations. But if they are going to be equally maltreated, that will not be happening for a while yet.
