Given only a small part of GB offers the natural environment or weather for winter sports, I think we perform extremely well - look at how many Winter Olympics we've returned home with no medals.Curling wise, I'm a regular skier during the winter and it's rare for me to go to a resort, especially in Switzerland, and not witness games taking place. We were in Wengen one Saturday last year and there were about 6 games taking place on the rink at the same time, with more to come later in the day. I've never once seen a curling game in the UK, yet we were competitive throughout the Games.I also had the rare pleasure of playing for a couple of hours in Wengen too, all for about a fiver.Just don't get me started on Elise Christie, undoubtedly she encountered some bad luck, but equally you make your own luck and tactically she messed up repeatedly. Unfortunately bar the guy in the studio the other day who acknowledged she was right to be disqualified, as a nation we do tend to prefer the crying loser than the tough winner - it would sometimes be a little refreshing to hear an interviewer say "that was unfortunate, but surely if you'd got your tactics better in the previous heat you wouldn't have been in this position ?".
