Where are the planes gone?

For over a week now we have noticed that the planes heading towards Heathrow no longer seem to be flying over brentford. We live in ferry quays and used to notice the morning and evening landing flightpath a lot, seems they are now all gone, just notice a few going the other way but seems more over Ealing. Any clues why? This is great by the way, massively improved sleep :)

The prevailing winds are generally from the West to South West, so the planes will be back using that main route into Heathrow as soon as the Beast from the East turns back into a Westerly.

The wind direction is from the East (hence the very cold weather) so planes are landing and taking off in an easterly direction.
