PG Tips to go REALLY - well hopefully - BIODEGRADABLE

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2018/feb/28/pg-tips-announces-switch-to-plastic-free-fully-biodegradable-teabagsFor anybody who has ever tried to compost these at home they will know that the bags do not break down.  The tea inside them does.  The little bags are believe it or not (it isn't mentioned on the box perhaps because it is just a small percentage and not required by law) made with polypropylene.  Somewhere in the press I read that it was just a sealant but as I said - the whole bag just does not biodegrade.This change has come/is coming about because of the actions of a lot of individuals who would rather not have so much unnecessary plastic in their lives and bodies.

and teabags aren't the only place where you will find plastic unexpectedly - those wipes that you thought were flushable may disappear out of sight but because they aren't fully biodegradable they create blockages in your drains and in the public sewers incuding being a part of the fatbergs that are created.https://www.museumoflondon.org.uk/museum-london/whats-on/exhibitions/fatberg?
