Boston Manor Road cycle lane works

Just noticed that BMR (from the Great West Rd to Swyncombe Ave) is to be closed from 9pm to 5 am from Tuesday 3 April until Sunday 29 April presumably for resurfacing works after the works to create a cycle lane. Buses will be diverted via Swyncombe/Windmill. So for those who live in roads off Boston Manor Road we will be unable to take our cars out after 9 pm or come back in. No notice given to us personally but notices on lamp posts and in the Ealing Gazette.

From my tame traffic officer:“I agree that the signs could be clearer, but have been assured that access will be maintained at all times.”

Thanks Guy for your investigations. However, I find the response very confusing. There are very large signs on the Boston Manor Road (one on the corner of the A4 and BMR, the other by The Ride) which state that the road will be closed for 4 nights from 3 April for 4 nights.

I asked the traffic team at LBH about this, as it was news to me.This is their response:"This is related to viaduct repairs by Highway England - it will be a soft road closure which means there will still be access to Boston Manor Road from the A4 and from Swyncombe Avenue and Boston Gardens."So not to do with the cycle lane. If you have problems, you know who to call :)
