Jezzas Cronies

Dear NeighboursI was fast asleep tonight after a long day at work. I was awoken by the door bell and on answering the door was confronted by a member of Jezzas Cronies.I am she said , stop there i said, I am not of your persuasion. Thankfully she got the message and left. Now awake I thought we never see you people and by that I mean any of the political parties until you want our votes to help feather your own nests.So I cannot recommend who to vote for but I can recommend who not too. As on the 3rd of May we have the chance to rid ourselves of one of the most incompetent ,inept and arrogant bunch ever to be let loose on the residents of this borough.These are the people who saved the plastics industry by purchasing tens of thousand ofwheelie bins and plastic  ryclling bins and in doing so changed the streets of Brentford the brighter borough into a mass open air recycling centre.These are the people who have managed sub contract out the maintenance of our roads and highways to a French owned company at a cost to us of tens of millions of pounds. You might find this surprising given the state of the footpaths many of which are more dangerous than a First World War battlefield.    Or perhaps like me you have wondered if they are repairing the Tesco car park at Gillette corner as it is always full up with Hounslow Highways vehiclesHow many times do our council members and now The Dear Leader have to jet off to the south of France to quaff champagne with property developers on the excuse of this will help the redevelopment of Brentford. After all I thought did no our sitting MP do that when she was a councillor one  look at the high street shows how successful that was.Then of course golden goodbyes we pay £302.000 redundancy  to a Council employee who was Director Regenartion and development not bad for five years. We wish him well in his new role with Wilmott  Dixon a prime mover in the Brentford stadium development Then of course we had Hounslow Homes scandle which cost us millions no one charged and no money back. You could not make it up, there record in local government is crap and they have the bloody cheek to knock on people's doors  to ask for more time to keep snouts in the trough So dear Neighbours, if you are gluttons for more punishment Jezzas Cronies are the ones for you . They will certainly deliver,for themselves and there mates.PS Bet there glad they knocked on my door now and woke me up

Well I have to say what this borough needs is a breath of fresh air. I would like see this bunch kicked out.  To my mind they treat the local electorate with contempt ask a question or raise a subject they don't like and they simply ignore it or try to rubbish it.Indeed on this very tread I am still awaiting answers I asked of our local Councillor who of course tried to rubbish the points I raised. I won't hold my breath awaiting his answer as I am sure he finds it difficult to argue with the truth and reverts to his parties long established fall back position ignore thetruth if it does not suit

Well the Lib Dems seem to be making a huge impact and they seem to be very decent people. We haven't had ANY decent community minded Cllrs since the ICG.  Hopefully Jezzas Cronies will be kicked into touch again and this borough can be dragged out of the sewage pool.

" Hounslow Highways don't publish a forward schedule any more."Well, why not? Surely its up to LBH Cllrs to instruct Hounslow Highways if they are being paid taxpayers' money? Just order them to publish a forward schedule and demonstrate some transparency on what they are doing with our money. "because the potholes there are deeper and I thought would meet H Highways criteria (they didn't)"Again - if you thought they would meet the criteria, most other sensible people would think so too. You obviously believed that the potholes were dangerous and in need of repair and it isn't rocket science. Surely Hounslow Highways should be instructed to lower the criteria? Why isn't the criteria set FOR them if they work for you and you are paid by us? Just who is running the Local Authority? Councillors or Hounslow Highways? Why can't Hounslow Councillors take some responsibility and earn their  stipend instead of blaming other organisations who they appointed in the first place. 'Not me Gov - I just pass the buck'

Hi GuyYes I do need a lot of beauty sleep. I think you should respond to my lengthy list of alleged crimes after all I am voter and if I am mistaken I would like to know. You see I believe in listening to other people's points of view and I do not dismiss them out of hand.So Guy Please correct me is Hounslow Highways owned by a French parent company named Eurovia or not ?Did or did not our local Labour MP visit the property convention in the south of France in an effort to help plan the redevelopment of Brentford when she was a councillor or not ?Did or did not the now council leader visit the same convention ?Did or did not the ex Director of Regenartion and Development get a £302000.00 payoff from the council when his post was scrapped after 5 years in the job ?Did this ex Director then join Willmott Dixon ?Are not Willmott Dixon involved in the Brentford stadium Development  ?Hounslow Homes did not your own dear Leader pass the findings of an internal fraud investigation to the police ?I know you state you have knocked on thousand of doors, perhaps then you could share with us the secret of how you get past the plastic bins and rubbish strewn streets and over the crumbling footpaths and potholed roads.So Guy here is your chance to change me and my neighbours minds Lastly go look for yourself every Friday the car park of Tesco at Gillette corner is full of Hounslow highway trucks, you know the ones we are paying for.

Total traffic and environmental chaos on Twickenham Road at 3.30 pm today caused by Lambert's folly and Jezza's cronies despotic decision to kick democracy into touch and take the stupid decision to close church street just to keep a few of their mates happy and turn the borough into an environmental nightmare for tens of thousands of people. Let's wait for the stats of increased breathing and asthma problems for the children of this Borough.

Alex I was surprised (and delighted) to see some action on the Netley Road potholes. Hounslow Highways don't publish a forward schedule any more. I was told last year that parts of  Netley would be done then, but they later got deferred/cancelled. I certainly didn't arrange anything related to the election (though I've been banging on about Netley and Lateward in particular for years). In fact the last one I reported was Lateward (as well as the trench in Ealing Rd and potholes in Clifden etc) because the potholes there are deeper and I thought would meet H Highways criteria (they didn't)

Guy may listen to residents but then he does what the despots tell him to do irrespective of what residents request. He has does not subscribe to democracy.

Wheelie bins are a prime example. Small Victian terraces with bins stuck into the front of the houses. A great site to look at from your sitting room window 24 hours a day.

"I will simply say that your tired old allegation that we only come round when we need your votes is simply untrue."Guy, I do know that you personally always do whatever you can to help the residents. And I'm very grateful for that. But I think I just have to ask this - a few days ago I've noticed that some of the potholes in the horrible Netley Road (those potholes and the poor state of the road surface is something we discussed here recently) have been repaired. It is really great to see. As for the timing of this repair - does it have anything to do with the local elections?

Blocking the pavements. Obviously all after the collection day yesterday. What a smart idea it was with the wheelie bins in this area.

I may disagree with plenty that Guy has done regards Brentford but he does work hard for individual constituents and talks with residents., I just think his party doesn’t listen enough

Seeing is believing. Litter litter everywhere. I have never ever seen the streets washed in the mornings as they do in many continental towns. I have never seen a man on a motor bike who comes cleans up dogmess and sprays a quick shot of disenfectant after you phone a hotline as in some european cities.

Mr Ayres, I was a member of the crew who awoke you from your beauty sleep.I won't respond to your lengthy list of alleged crimes because I'm not going to change your mind (I plead not guilty on all counts)I will simply say that your tired old allegation that we only come round when we need your votes is simply untrue. I have been out knocking on doors around the ward practically every week since I was elected in 2015. With about 7500 doors to knock in the ward and only 3 councillors we are not there every week.I also hold a monthly surgery on Saturday mornings, regularly attend community events, deal with about 75 emails daily, write a weekly blog (published on this site), have individual meetings with residents and officers and occasionally bring them together and attend and sometimes chair a number of committees.I reckon I and my colleagues provide decent value, and so do most of the people we speak to. I'm sorry you're not amongst them.

I think your right . I wonder how many of our Councillors would be willing to do the job for expenses only and perhaps have there allowances given to charity.

You feel helpless when you go to the ballot box as you fear for the next lot. I said a long time ago if you read all the publicity before voting there is just no motivation to vote.
