Parking Meter charges in Isleworth going up 20%

Normally, outside Barclays Bank on the London Road,Isleworth the parking meters charge 20p for 15 minutes...that's 80p an hour.In a couple of weeks time the charges are to rise to 20p for 12 minutes...thats £1 per hour..a rise of 20%.Does anyone know how much is currently collected per annum in Parking fines...and how much extra money will the Council benefit by?If the Council gain an extra £1million over a year.....oh go to bed Lawsey!

Sorry to be pedantic Jim, but that's actually a 25% increase.I have long argued for a scale of parking permit charges based upon vehicle size, which would be fair, progressive and environmentally friendly, but the idea has thus far gone completely unacknowledged.Any views on this?

Instead of raising the rest of the borough up to the Chiswick rate, why not lower the Chiswick rate to the lowest in the borough?Actually I believe this anomaly is charge by postcode? or perhaps all the Chiswickians should have voted Nu Lab. and the anomaly might never have arisen.

It seems unfair that the Chiswick end of the Borough has to pay a higher rate of Parking Meter change.If the Chiswick rate is £1.20 per hour..then the rest of the Borough should be at £1.20 per hour too..in my view.
