Get fit? We wish..............

How many people got the recent flyer through the door from Our Parks and Hounslow council? The one we got advertised Yoga at Redlees Park at 19.00 on Wednesdays. My two sons thought they'd like to try this so followed the instructions 'How it works', Join Free, Browse, Choose and book, Get fit. Ah! Problem no Yoga lessons could be found, so I contacted Hounslow who said they'd look into it, nothing back so I raised this again at a meeting with some people from Hounslow parks the other night - still no explanation.I'd like to say that I was shocked at this - unfortunately - no. If anyone has managed to figure this out please let us know.

I agree walking is free, and effective, there's no reason why you wouldn't take an official council backed service at face value is there? But what is so galling is that having plastered their logo on the flyer, they then distance themselves and tell you to go and sort it out!

I can see the both of you know the score. If you want to keep fit just walk. Its such a shame LBH make it so difficult for you. It makes me so cynical. I must  admitt though I would have believed the flyer.

More than that L.B. Hounslow want to wash their hands of the whole thing and expect us to contact 'our parks' who they say  are the people responsible for this 'public health initiative', although L.B.H. and Greenspace 360 support this. So Hounslow put their logo on things that come through letterboxes but tell you you have to sort it out yourself when something goes pear-shaped.
