Where are the lovely parent & baby groups?

I'm new to the area and have a one year old (tomorrow!). I'm looking for places I can take her to meet other parents and babies. Everywhere seems to be closed for summer and we're going nuts on our own in our new, as yet un-babyproofed house.  It's a great house, but we are looking for other people to hang out with, play with, have coffee with etc. Although we have just bought membership, Waterman's seems to be aimed at age 2+. The local parks are great, but lonely when you have no playmates :(Recommendations for other online forums also welcome!Disclaimer: we're actually just over the border into TW7, but please don't hold that against us

In Ealing there is Ealing 135 which has some special holiday events as well as playgroups.  They have a Facebook group as well as their website:http://www.ealing135.org.uk/about-us/membership

The wonderful Tamar Swade used to run Pandemonium at Watermans - music and song for various very young age groups (+ parent/carer).  It didn't run during the hols but it was a lifesaver for me years and years ago. Watermans don't have their September calendar up yet.  When I googled it it came up on a Netmums website.

I think Waterman's has events with parent and toddler groups.

You might have more luck going out a bit in either direction.  Chiswick library has drop-in sessions that 1 year olds would be at.  Gymboree at Chiswick Townhall or St Margaret's Road. 1 o'clock Club at Marble Hill House in Twickenham.  The covered play area in Kew Gardens is good when it's crumby out and there are "regulars" who have memberships.Hoop app is good to see what's going on for kids around your area.

Have you check out the local children centre? They are open throughout the summer. Brentford children centre (just behind Travelodge opposite waterman parks) have stay & play sessions mon, tues (non-walkers) and Fridays. And they also have some outings to parks on Wednesday.
