Towpath closed

Any news on when the towpath will be reopened?  The notices are very vague.

Maybe that is why council seem to be pushing for the footbridge overto the Robin Grove park, planning notice on lamp post at top of Robin Grove, people will only remember the inconvience of towpath being closed, that shed has been bent out of shape fora very long time, why only now to remove it when planning notice is published

Well everyone will be shocked to know that the towpath remains closed. The part of the shed that has collapsed is still there bent out of shape and there is no sign of any work being done. There seems to be little incentive for the owners to move things along and undertake the repairs to reopen the public pathway. Maybe an escalating fine for everyday the path is not available for use by the public?

Work will be carried out to remove the dangerous section of the overhang commencing 1st September and towpath should be open on 3rd September.

For those wishing to plan an alternative route please be aware that the "X marks the spot" on the map in this site's news article is shown north of the M4 in Boston Manor.  Approximately 1 mile away from the actual towpath closure in Brentford

The whole frame of the warehouses need to be demolished, which was planned for Brentford Lock West phase 3 next year, as they are in very poor condition.I guess whereas that need to be moved forward will be the key of when the towpath can be reopened safely.
