My GP told me that she would rather that people who qualify for free flu jabs do not use a pharmacist. The reason being that a practice buys in a specific amount of vaccine for those numbers they know about - then find they have to dispose of it if people go elsewhere.

Tesco start on the 24th.  It is far easier to pop in there than the Dr surgery.  Cost £9 or free.

Had mine yesterday, Saturday is when the flu Jab for over 65s is starting at my surgery.There are two types of flu jab this year, one developed for the over 65s and one for under 65s. I dont know the difference, but you can do a google search and there is quite a lot about it on the NHS sites.
