Northumberland Estate Public Inquiry

The Public inquiry into the Duke of Northumberland's application to build more homes on the Park Rd. allotments starts 9 October at Brentford Free Church - next to Brentford School for Girls.The inquiry will take up to nine days and The Isleworth Society and allotment holders plus many other groups and individual residents are  putting their case to the Planning Inspector along with Hounslow Council who rejected the application last year.The inquiry is being held in public and support would be very welcome as would signing the petition - below.https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/save-the-isleworth-park-road-allotments-from-redevelopment

The Isleworth Society has been told that the Inspector is likely to announce his decision regarding the Duke of Northumberland's application to build on Park Rd. allotments w/c 3 December.However the estate has made it clear that "the allotments on Park Road are non-statutory and are not,therefore, afforded the protection of statutory allotments. This means they could be closed by the appellant at any time".
