Reaching Out

'Please REACH OUT (my caps.) to  customer to resolve the issue at the earliest.'This, from the Dulux Virtual Paint AdvisorVanessa has already touched on this - what's wrong with good old 'contact'?!

How about ‘ I couldn’t reach out to them because they were out of pocket’ as the worst excuse for not contacting someone?

And I would like to reach out to all the twits who answer every question by starting the sentence with ‘So’.  It causes my wife to scream at Radio 4 every morning which is not pleasant. Now I am resorting to changing to Planet Rock to maintain some calm sanity before hitting the polluted streets and traffic chaos.

Does REACHING OUT mean you can THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX or does it represent BLUE SKY THINKING? I used to think sending a letter or e mail and getting a reply was quite good!!!!!!

I mentioned this at a meeting yesterday at Hounslow - I said that a plain bog standard 'Thank-you for your e-mail' would do nicely. As someone said to me, after waiting weeks just to hear a complaint has only been logged not resolved, I don't want to be 'reached out' to, I'd quite like the matter sorted out.

Yes, some group or other (Four Tops?) were reaching out and promising to be there years ago.Or was it Michael Jackson/The Jackson Five? - it's getting late.

I guess that as we leave the sanity of the EU we have to become American. The Americans have been reaching out for a few years now.
