The NEW Musical Museum,Brentford news?

Isn't the new Piano Museum /Musical Museum going to be another gem addition to the Brentford Riverside scene? I just have that feeling that its going to be an absolute musical and cultural knockout.Does anyone have any news of progress?

I cant make up my mind about the building. I think its lack of windows makes it look strange and maybe its just in the wrong location.

Sadly it’s down the road a bit in Chiswick but does come under the same planning office.I find it very difficult to comprehend, when one business is going out of its way to get it right, and a building like the new Musical Museum gets permission.All I can say is, I must be in the minority where my architectural tastes are concerned.

Keith I thoroughly agree, if fact I would like to know how it got through the planning stages, when a well used local newsagent and post office are bending over backwards to make their extension blend in with the existing building frontage, and providing a double door disabled access, and it keeps being referred back, but they let a really ugly tatty building like this be built.

Well, Jim...there's no accounting for taste!I think this is possibly the ugliest building in Brentford.It looks like one of those places where you pay monthly to store your stuff for you,either that or a factory unit or warehouse. From the outside the building gives absolutely no hint of what it is used for and looks like zero thought has gone into the design,it being a box and all.The only good thing about it is it is not all grey.I think the developers have had cost in mind too much.

Jim, following your instructions and remembering you said you use Mozilla it was easy!! I love reading all these threads on this site. You are all so friendly it is fun.I was wondering, do you think anyone would be interested in anything from the garden, or maybe beach from "over the pond", what about grandkids? I'm still going through all these threads, so much to read. I'll wear my PP medal proudly (now I've got to figure out how to post from "My Pictures" can't be too difficult eh?).

Audrey:Regarding posting pictures onto the Forum, (we call it PP). It is process that we have been learning on this Forum and the Ealing Forum and Chiswick Forum over the past two weeks or so only!!The are several experienced wizards around, like Paul Allen, and Robin and Lawrence on the Ealing Forum, and Terri,Richard Jennings,Will Watson,and others on the Chiswick Forum who have been posting pictures occasionally for ages. I wanted to learn too..so two weekends ago I started a training thread on W4.com which now lurks on page 8, then we continued with another thread ..which now lingers at the bottom of w4's page 2 or 3.  Further instruction and examples continued on this Brentford Forum..under the Venessa Pork Pies thread...but most recently the training has been taking place on the Ealing Forum.I suggest you visit the ealing site..and on the first page of the Forum..you will find ..halfway down ..the Introduction of the subject (70 odd postings so far). The Topic called "Immediate" is where we have moved on to posting smilies and moving objects onto Forum.Peter,Ann, Barbara have all now earned their PP Doctrates ;0) on the Ealing site..and Paul Fisher has qualified too !!So: maybe we should start a Picture Posting thread here too..but first of all..have alook at Ealing ..and join in there! Nice crowd!

I've got to agree Sarah, that’s one of the worst looking buildings on the high street.The Curators of the museum have been had, but no doubt it will be excellent inside.
