Hounslow PCT ranked 240 out of 254 in country on Patient experience

Just reading in today's Guardian that Hounslow PCT is ranked 240th out of 254 in country.  Does this tally with other forum users' experiences?http://society.guardian.co.uk/guides/drfoster/gpsatisfaction/0,16076,1502752,00.html?start=0&index=2&index=2On all three criteria: Patient Experience, Clinical quality and Equity, Hounslow PCT was ranked 'Weak'.  I assume in part this must be caused by the burden inherited debt placed on the management team?Personally  I find I can usually get an appointment (admittedly pretty rare) with my GP within 24hrs.Andrew

Andrew;Whilst personally I find the Surgery I use very obliging and helpful...one must be concerned about the huge abuse of NHS finances linked to scams involving some local dodgy doctors..who send in claims for work they haven't done...or claiming for patients they haven't got.I hear of fraudulent expenses claims being submitted..and the sender being aghast to have cheque sent to him/her by return..by the local PCT or whatever.  So, they do it again and again..claiming thousands and thousands of pounds.  Some have been caught recently..thank goodness..and its always the same clan to my knowledge.Amazing the the clerical staff who arrange these cheque payments aren't a bit more savvy.So,lift the lid Andrew...and encourage the whistle-blowers.We pay too much tax!
