Here we go again...........

Last year Carillion - now it's Interserve - when will this stupid, benighted government learn that privatising public services DOES NOT WORK?

Grayling is a disaster. he must have a dossier that prevents him being, at least, defenestrated.He screwed up Probation Services, so he was 'shuffled' to Transport where he has presided over one disastrous cost over-run or failure after another. The last issue of Private Eye conservatively estimated that the direct costs of run of muck-ups has cost the country's taxpayers £5 billion.I can only think that he has Diane Abbott doing his mathematics for him.

It really is of little importance now - to go on about whose fault this was, the Tories -as I recall - were going to do away with all the PFI contracts until they too realised that none of that would show up in the government's expenditure.The fact is that this government (see Chris 'Failing' Grayling) have perfected outsourcing to an art form and in spite of the disasters, blithely carry on. They have the wherewithal to end it but as it means profits for their party donors - don't want to know.

Conveniently forgetting of course that both Carillion  and Interserve's exponential growth happened with outsourcing and PFI deals completed by the Blair and Brown 'maladministrations'. The Coalition and this pathetic excuse for a government has outsourced like mad but the real growth of the outsourcers like the aforementioned and Crapita was 'Blair's Baby'.
