Just look what has been done to Pitzhanger Manor, once Ealing's Public Library (now the borough has nowhere of their own to house it's central library,) Nicely restored but of little more use than a posh venue and average art gallery. An exercise in over indulgence by a clique for a clique. The whole thing has been turned into a venue for the haves with a bit of short term tokenism for the locals.Gunnersbury Park is similarly being gradually turned into a private venue and now it's Boston Manor and it's grounds. And all the time, the population locally is being ramped up and cashing in on this is clearly the real motivation for the privatisation of public open spaces.
